Our Story

Aunt Jenny Cooks is a woman owned artisanal prepared meal service with weekly Tuesday delivery to the entire state of NJ, parts of NY including Manhattan, Brooklyn & Staten Island, parts of PA including Philly and parts of DE including Newark & Wilmington. Our kitchen is about delicious internationally inspired, nutritious, small batch cooking. We focus on mindful menu development, responsible sourcing & most importantly YOU.

Jennifer entered the food scene full time, after leaving Manhattan's fashion industry & the NYC academia scene in 2007. That was the year that she purchased & expanded Beach Lake Bread in Honesdale, PA & eventually opened Eat Cake in Frenchtown, NJ. In 2017, Jenny opened a small speakeasy style "Soup Club" in Bucks County, PA/Frenchtown NJ that eventually developed into what is now Edible Underground. A grandma style, comfort food, weekly prepared meal service catering to the quad-state area. Her desire to expand her offering with a menu that is a lil lighter...a lil leafier prompted her to develop a sister service called Aunt Jenny Cooks. This service is about small batch, globally inspired menus made with local ingredients that focuses on mindful, clean eating.

Aunt Jenny Cooks is a true labor of Jennifer's love, creativity & heavy focus on community. Her culinary magic is just that...MAGIC. She takes pride in her versatility & fluidity in the kitchen, making sure that every person who eats her food feels that BIG kind of love.

Lisa is INSPIRED. Her commitment to honor the true nature of each ingredient is nothing short of pure badassery in the kitchen. Through her incredible career working & running kitchens with Max Hansen, Caleb Lentchner & several other top Philly & Bucks County Chefs, Lisa has honed her skills & is recognized as one of the hottest renegades in the region. She is about clean, produce inspired food with big flavor. A master with herbs & spices, she can often be found foraging & growing many of her own ingredients. THAT is who she is. She gets her hands...her beautiful talented hands....into every aspect of her preparation.

When she is not cooking or collecting fresh eggs from her chickens, she can be found spending time with her brilliant daughter & wonderful husband. Lisa lives her life in truth. Aunt Jenny Cooks is honored to bring her brand of honesty to your plate.

Brigid has been in the food industry for over 21 years holding a degree in Culinary Arts. She is that mythical creature in the industry, fluent in both front & back of the house. She now owns & operates a web based baking company called Sweet Treats & More, works in our sister kitchen with Edible Underground & right here with us in the AJC kitchen creating culinary delights.

When Brigid is not baking or cooking she spends her time gardening, laughing & loving up her babies and life partner Tom. We are completely in love with this one & we are HONORED to have her in our kitchen.
